A lifelong storyteller
Like many creatives, I’ve always had a vivid imagination and a natural interest in art and music. Throughout my childhood, I was known for singing, sketching, and developing stories, both written and on camera.
As I grew older and began navigating social media, self-portraiture and video became my primary forms of creative expression. Digital storytelling and video production remain powerful creative outlets for me today.
I have a bachelor’s degree in communication and digital studies from the University of Mary Washington. My education gave me a deeper understanding of how digital media can be used to create meaning, tell stories, and connect with others.
In addition to creating art, I am the co-creator of a family. I consider motherhood one of the most humbling and transformative experiences of my life. Its lessons inspire much of my work.
What inspires me
Feminine Archetypes
I’m fascinated by the many facets of our human experience. Throughout history, many qualities associated with femininity have been diminished or used to make women feel small. I find empowerment in reclaiming them as sources of strength. I’m especially drawn to how these qualities are personified in mythology by figures who embody creation, destruction, intuition, wisdom, and more.
Identity
Who are we beneath our appearance, and how do we come to know ourselves? There is great tension between how we perceive ourselves and how we are perceived by others. Several influences shape our overall understanding of who we are: the roles we’re assigned, the roles we choose, and the roles we discover unexpectedly.
Nature
To me, nature represents the laws and cycles that govern all life. I see it as a physical expression of the intrinsic beauty in all that exists. It also serves as a reminder of the cycles we are all subject to: birth, growth, decline, death, and renewal.
Transformation
Change is something so many of us fear and fight, yet it is constant in this world. I have learned to appreciate the beauty in the fact that nothing lasts forever. Through change, we can step into something greater than we could have ever imagined. It is bittersweet, but it also reminds us to be grateful for the present.
Why I create

My digital footprint traces back nearly two decades. Writing, photography, and video are tools that have documented many chapters of my life. Curating these pieces of myself allows me to examine my experiences, recognize the lessons I’ve learned, and articulate ideas I may not have understood or had the language for at the time.

Reflecting on my experiences often leads me to questions about the world around me. Creating allows me to examine the behaviors and beliefs that shape the way we relate to ourselves and each other. By exploring the personal, I find something universal.
